Role Summary
Push-to-Card is a strategic growth channel for Ria, unlocking real-time card payouts across
global Visa, Mastercard, and local card schemes. The Business Manager – Push-to-Card will
play a dual role:
1. Manage external relationships with card networks and processors (Visa Direct,
Mastercard Send, and other local card schemes) to support the expansion of new corridors, use
cases, and commercial models.
2. Drive internal adoption and enablement, ensuring regions, commercial teams, and
product/engineering functions fully leverage the channel to grow volumes and improve
customer experience.
This role requires strong cross-functional leadership, commercial insight, and an ability to
translate scheme capabilities into actionable, scalable payout solutions across Ria’s global
remittance network.
Key Responsibilities
1. External Relationship Management (Visa, Mastercard, Processors)
- Serve as the operational and commercial point of contact for Visa Direct, Mastercard
Send, and other card scheme/processor partners.
- Support discussions on new corridors, new use cases, go-live readiness, commercials,
pricing models, scheme compliance, and routing improvements.
- Coordinate technical and operational requirements between card schemes and internal
Network/Product/Engineering teams.
- Track card-scheme updates, industry developments, and regulatory changes impacting
cross-border card payouts.
2. Internal Adoption & Commercial Enablement
- Drive channel adoption across all Ria regions — ensuring regional teams understand the
value proposition, pricing, positioning, and competitive edge of card payouts.
- Develop internal playbooks, corridor launch guides, FAQs, sales enablement decks, and
training materials.
- Partner with Marketing to design customer-facing campaigns that increase usage and
awareness.
3. Corridor Expansion & Go-Live Execution
- Own the end-to-end launch process for new card corridors: scoping, requirements
gathering, operational readiness, pricing, and post-launch optimization.
- Maintain the roadmap of upcoming corridors in partnership with Network, Engineering,
Compliance, Treasury, and card scheme partners.
- Ensure operational SLAs, settlement flows, FX processes, and customer support are fully
aligned before launch.
4. Performance Tracking & Optimization
- Monitor success rates, issuer behaviour, processing times, settlement issues, and
customer experience.
- Identify root causes of performance issues and coordinate improvements with internal
and external stakeholders.
- Provide actionable insights and performance updates to regional and global leadership.
Requirements
Experience
- 3–7 years in cross-border payments, card payments, fintech operations, or partner
management.
- Proven record of launching and scaling digital payment channels across multiple markets.
Technical & Commercial Skills
- Solid understanding of push-to-card flows, scheme rules, issuer behaviour, settlement
models, and fee structures.
- Strong analytical capability — comfortable interpreting dashboards, conversion rates and
commercial performance.
- Able to translate scheme capabilities into practical product use cases and commercial
opportunities.
Soft Skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills — capable of leading
conversations with both senior internal teams and general card schemes.
- High degree of ownership, structured thinking, and ability to manage multiple
workstreams simultaneously.
- Strong commercial mindset paired with operational rigor
