Job Summary
The objective of Ericsson Consulting is to deliver engagements that generate value for our customers and enable greater value to Ericsson. We are seeking a highly experienced Techno‑Operational Consulting Leader to head the NW & BOS Transformation Consulting practice and to be part of the Global Consulting Leadership Team that steers business and offerings across Ericsson.
Responsibilities
- Drive global P&L; and define objectives of NW & BOS Transformation Consulting domain
- Identify, develop and manage a portfolio of leading NW & BOS Transformation Consulting offerings
- Identify consulting opportunities by collaborating with tech professionals, sales and solution architects
- Nurture and convert opportunities while actively contributing to consulting proposals
- Guide / lead delivery of consulting projects and programs across the globe
- Engage as a thought leader at CxO level
- Lead the NW & BOS Transformation consulting team comprising senior members
- Manage stakeholders in consulting communities across geographies
- Contribute outside your domain to achieve overall business objectives
Domain Expertise
- AN, Orchestration & Automation transformation
- Deep understanding of Autonomous network e2e methodology and orchestration & automation transformation approaches from an operations and systems perspective
- Practical experience of transformation delivery programs (organization, process, systems, operational transformation)
- 5G Core and 5G Network
- Understanding of 5G Core evolution, deployment options (e.g., SA) and end‑to‑end technology evolution beyond Core
- Strong grasp of business implications of 5G Core and other technologies, including monetization and roadmap alignment
- Telco Cloud transformation – both virtualization and cloud native
- Knowledge of cloud transformation challenges, impacts and industry approaches from technology and deployment perspectives
- Experience with Telco Cloud Transformation programs and cloud operating models
- Understanding of CICD / DevOps and related operational processes
- Expertise on operational implications of moving 5G Core and other network elements to virtualized or cloud native environments
- Operational transformation and operating models for 5G evolution
- Skill in defining operational transformation approaches for 5G and related opportunities
- Capability to define processes, metrics/KPIs and high‑level OSS system knowledge for 5G evolution
- Strong understanding of new Agile methodologies and DevOps Way of Working
- OSS Systems / Support strategies
- Awareness of operational trends and system approaches (orchestration, automation, microservices, analytics, policies)
- Knowledge of relevant open‑source communities (OpenStack, OPNFV, ONAP, etc.)
- Awareness of competitor vendor landscape relative to Ericsson portfolio
- Knowledge and certifications of standards such as TOGAF, ITIL, TMF TAM/SID, ODA
- Supporting Capability – Telco Cloud Technology
- Understanding of Telco Cloud technology trends and open‑source communities
- Familiarity with public cloud enterprise solutions and their pros/cons for CSPs
- Knowledge of Telco Cloud reference architectures
Qualifications
- 15+ years of professional experience, including proven ability to sell and deliver consulting projects
- Proven capability to sell and deliver Core / Technology / Operational Consulting projects with a business mindset
- Experience leading consulting business, practice, and teams with P&L; accountability
- Sound technical knowledge across Core, Cloud, RAN, Telco Orchestration and B/OSS Transformation domains
- Strong delivery skills – ability to create plans aligning technical strategies with business ambition, formulating strategies, defining transformation journeys, and storytelling with influencing skills
- Strong people and team leadership – coaching, enabling development, and team growth
- Excellent communication skills and orientation toward innovation, learning, and commercial thinking
- Experience working in international and cross‑cultural environments selling and delivering complex engagements in cross‑functional teams
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; a Master’s in Business preferred
Location & Travel
Integral role with approximately 50% travel based on business needs. Primary country and city: India (IN) – Gurgaon.
