Plant quality control manager - puig

Misión del puesto

Manage the quality control’s strategy of components, raw materials, perfumes, bulk and finished products to comply with specifications established by development processes. To supervise manufacturing activities (both internal and external), ensuring that packaging and products comply with current quality requirements and with all characteristics defined in specifications.

ResponsibilitiesPlanning
  • Coordinate the area team of packaging & production and laboratory, participate in their selection, propose their training and development, and evaluate their performance.
  • Lead the packaging and production quality control processes at the plant.
  • Handle reclamations and consumer claims and manage corrective actions.
  • Supervise management of equipment and quality control methods.
  • Supervise quality risk management of suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Define, follow up and implement investment projects of the area.
  • Develop and propose the area budget;
    perform budget follow-up.
  • Ensure technical and human resources needed to fulfill quality activities in the plant.
  • Prevent risks and establish action plans for new references to avoid or reduce product market complaints.
Execute
  • Ensure release of packaging components, raw materials, perfumes, bulk, semi‑finished and finished products.
  • Manage all control activities: incoming controls, process controls and audit controls.
  • Handle all non‑conformities regarding packaging, raw materials, bulk and products from a technical perspective.
  • Carry out derogation for quality characteristics out of specifications.
  • Participate in risk detection, action plans, and quality control planning for new references both within the plant and at suppliers.
  • Participate in development phases of new products together with packaging, research, and industrialization teams;
    present during industrial trials, CQVs, and preparations.
  • Participate with suppliers to ensure control plans align with the company’s quality standards.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement Process as a Black Belt;
    identify improvement opportunities.
  • Execute the Quality, Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices policies of the company.
  • Implement and maintain the Skills Development Plan as the plant working system.
  • Define and execute corrective measures so established internal regulations are met.
  • Propose, assist, and organize improvement events;
    monitor performance of the improvement system through meetings and follow‑up.
  • Maintain good communication and relationships with other departments.
  • Inform the Production Plant Director of any anomaly detected, at personnel or resource level.
  • Carry out IDS and accident investigations concerning responsibilities.
  • Carry out IT KU functions.
Control
  • Define and follow indicators of quality control and metrology at the plant.
  • Ensure compliance with QC packaging, manufacturing and production activities.
  • Ensure compliance with norms applied at the plants regarding quality, security, environment, and GMP, and all communications included.
  • Manage metrology of departmental equipment.
  • Follow up and control Good Manufacturing Practices regulations applicable to the cosmetics industry.
  • Follow up and control investments assigned to the department.
  • Follow up and control indicators established in the Continuous Improvement System to meet goals.
  • Ensure execution of action plans established in the Strategic Deployment Plan and monitor them throughout the KPIs established in the same.
  • Ensure compliance with established policies of Quality, Environment and Occupational Health and Safety in the area.
Profile DescriptionQualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering, Management, Industrial or similar).
  • Minimum 3 years in a similar position.
  • ISO 2859‑1 knowledge.
  • Experience in components manufacturing processes, filling processes, quality tools and risk analysis.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
