Job Description: We are seeking a driven, self-motivated, sales-oriented, passionate, organized, and determined Director of Business Development to join our growing team. This home-based role in Spain offers the opportunity to gain extensive knowledge and experience in the CRO, Pharmaceutical, and Biotech industries.
The main focus will be on opening and expanding existing clients, driving new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets. Responsibilities include client management, research, and intelligence gathering on target markets, focusing on acquiring new clients and expanding existing ones, maintaining Salesforce.com database, and ensuring all client interactions and updates are recorded accurately.
Additional responsibilities involve proposal development, managing the bid defense process, collaborating across functions, organizing client meetings and conferences, and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers.
The ideal candidate must have:
Fluent in French and English; additional languages are a plus
A university degree in Natural Sciences, Medicine, Business, or equivalent experience
At least 3 years of sales experience, with a proven track record in a fast-paced environment
Strong presentation and writing skills
Experience in the CRO or pharmaceutical industry is highly advantageous
