These advancements were driven by a small group of innovators focused on building technology for faster access to more of the world. We aim to usher in a new era characterized by universal access to the entire globe, free of borders, with routine space-to-Earth travel. To achieve this, we are developing highly maneuverable re-entry vehicles capable of loitering in orbit and executing precision landings back on Earth.
Position Overview:
The Manager of Finance, FP&A, will oversee the company's financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions. This role collaborates closely with executive leadership to provide insights that inform strategic decisions, maintain financial health, and support scalable growth. Responsibilities include building and refining financial models, managing budgeting and forecasting, and delivering data-driven insights to support business strategies in a dynamic, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support strategic planning.
* Develop and maintain financial models forecasting company performance and providing insights.
* Analyze and communicate key financial metrics, performance trends, and variances to leadership.
* Support business leaders with financial insights to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
* Perform regular financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting aligned with strategic goals.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business drivers and their financial impact.
* Improve internal financial processes, systems, and tools to support startup growth.
* Offer strategic recommendations for financial performance improvement.
* Work with accounting and operations to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
* Assist in preparing investor presentations and external financial communications.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; Master’s or MBA preferred.
* At least 5 years of experience in FP&A or similar roles, preferably in tech, aerospace, or manufacturing.
* Strong skills in financial modeling, analysis, and forecasting, with a solid understanding of financial statements and KPIs.
* Experience with budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting in fast-paced environments.
* Proficiency in Excel and financial tools; experience with ERP and FP&A software is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
* Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to rapid priority shifts.
* Strong business acumen with a passion for contributing to aerospace industry growth.
Desired Qualifications:
* Experience in aerospace or related engineering fields.
* Advanced knowledge of financial systems and processes.
* Familiarity with capital budgeting, valuation, and investment analysis.
The California annual base salary for this role is currently $115,000 – 150,000, with pay determined by role, level, location, and market data. Salary is assessed on a case-by-case basis considering skills, education, experience, and internal equity.
Our headquarters is located in Playa Vista, CA. This position requires in-office presence.
