Job Description:
AkensNordburg is looking for a Business Development Manager (m/f) for an international company that develops and commercializes trenchless systems to liaise with water network operators, engineering firms, and contractors. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing engineered solutions for trenchless renovation of pressure pipes in Spain and Portugal. The successful candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in Business Development within the trenchless industry in Spain/Portugal, with a strong technical background in construction and cultural sensitivity to communicate effectively with all project stakeholders. The position reports directly to the Director of Business Development Europe based in Germany.
Responsibilities include:
* Educate network operators and engineering firms about trenchless rehabilitation
* Provide engineering support for design, planning, scheduling, and execution of pressure pipe rehab projects
* Create technical specifications and quotations in collaboration with the Head Office
* Assist during all project phases, including on-site supervision
* Present the company and products at conferences, exhibitions, workshops, and road shows
* Identify channels to promote products and meet sales targets
* Manage certified partners within the territory
Preferred qualifications:
* Civil Engineer (or related) with at least 5 years of experience in trenchless pipe rehabilitation
* Strong communication skills to liaise with engineering firms, contractors, and network operators
* Proven sales record in the construction industry
* Fluent in Spanish and English;
Portuguese is a plus
* Structured, analytical, self-motivated, and result-oriented
* Willing to travel within Spain/Portugal and occasionally to Germany
* Loyalty and integrity demonstrated in previous roles
Workplace:
The candidate will work remotely, preferably in Madrid or surroundings, with regular travel within Spain and Portugal. Occasional travel to Germany for meetings.
