Ingeniero de Redes Cisco SD-WAN, LAN, WiFi role at TechDelivery
This is a 100% remote position, with occasional on-site presence required during onboarding and approximately once every two months thereafter.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain Cisco SD-WAN solutions (Viptela or Meraki) across multi-site enterprise environments.
- Manage and optimize LAN and WiFi networks, ensuring stability, performance, and scalability.
- Configure and support Cisco network devices, including routers, switches, wireless controllers, and access points.
- Continuously monitor network performance, availability, and reliability using appropriate tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents and issues, escalating when necessary to ensure minimal downtime.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date network documentation, including configurations, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (security, infrastructure, operations) to ensure alignment with organizational goals and technical standards.
- Participate in network planning and improvement initiatives, providing input based on best practices and emerging technologies.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, technical standards, and change management processes.
- Communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken, in a remote, international working environment.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Cisco networking technologies including routing, switching and wireless; hands-on experience with Cisco SD-WAN solutions (preferably Viptela or Meraki); solid knowledge of network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, ACLs, NAT.
- Experience in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise LAN and WiFi networks; proficiency in managing Cisco routers, switches, wireless controllers, and access points.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools like Wireshark and SolarWinds.
- Fluent English communication skills (B2 or higher), both spoken and written.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking; ability to work independently in a remote environment; good documentation and organizational abilities; team-oriented mindset and experience in cross-functional collaboration.
Desirable Skills
- Cisco certifications (CCNA or CCNP – Enterprise Wireless or Security).
- Experience working in ITIL-based environments with ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of scripting or network automation tools such as Python or Ansible.
