The position corresponds to a Senior Lecturer (Profesor Titular de Universidad) in the area of Analytical Chemistry, attached to the Department of Chemistry, within the Faculty of Marine Sciences at Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
The successful candidate will carry out undergraduate teaching duties in the Bachelor's Degree in Marine Sciences, specifically in the following compulsory subject:
In addition to teaching responsibilities, the selected candidate is expected to develop research activities within the following research line in the area of Marine Pollution:
Comprehensive chemical analysis of the composition and additives of plastics and microplastics, associated compounds, and the adsorption of persistent organic compounds
This research activity corresponds to UNESCO Codes 2301 — Analytical Chemistry, and 2510 — Oceanography.
The position is subject to a competitive selection process, in accordance with current regulations governing access to the Body of University Associate Professors.
