Postdoctoral Scientist/Data Analyst

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in R and R-Studio, with expertise in database management using PostgreSQL. Responsibilities include developing analytic tools and conducting related analyses.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and evaluation of phenotypes (cohort definition algorithms) with multidisciplinary teams.
* Assist in building and maintaining in-house and open-source tools, pipelines, and resources.
* Design and implement data analysis studies, including data extraction, preprocessing, exploratory analysis, visualization, and modeling.
* Document studies through reports, protocols, and publications, and communicate findings effectively.
* Stay updated with advancements in data science, epidemiology, and healthcare informatics.
Qualifications Education
Master’s or PhD in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Data Science, Health/Biomedical Informatics, Computer Science, or related fields.
Experience and Skills
* Experience analyzing large healthcare datasets (EHR, insurance claims, registry data).
* Knowledge of OMOP common data model and tools (Darwin, ATLAS, Cohort Diagnostics, Athena).
* Proficiency in R, R-Studio, and PostgreSQL; Python skills are a plus.
* SQL proficiency for data manipulation and querying.
* Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred
* Experience in observational studies, statistical modeling, time-to-event analyses, causal inference methods.

* Duration: 12 months
* Location: Spain (with options in the UK, Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands, France, Germany; remote options possible)
