We are supporting a major global consulting team on an engagement with a leading energy organisation and are looking for an experienced Technology Advisory / IT Operating Model Consultant to join the project.
You will be integrated directly into the consulting team, helping drive the As-Is assessment, technology diagnostic work, and early design of the future-state IT operating model. This role is ideal for someone with strong IT strategy experience, exceptional analytical capabilities, and the ability to produce high-quality consulting outputs under tight timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct as-is assessment of IT processes, service domains, technology categories, and vendor landscapes
Analyse cloud, infrastructure, application, and SaaS environments to identify improvement opportunities
Support the development of insights, category reviews, and early recommendations
Produce high-quality client-ready slide decks, models, and diagnostic outputs
Work closely with the Senior Manager and wider consulting team to shape the future-state design
Participate in interviews, workshops, and internal discussions to validate findings
Contribute to roadmap development for the To-Be operating model
Required Experience
6–10 years in IT strategy, technology advisory, IT operating model design, or enterprise IT analysis
Strong understanding of:
Cloud (AWS/Azure)
Infrastructure & applications
SaaS / technology categories
Enterprise IT service domains
Proven ability to analyse complex datasets and translate findings into actionable insights
Strong PowerPoint and slide storytelling skills (consulting standard)
Comfortable working at pace with senior stakeholders
Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish a strong advantage
Nice to Have
Experience working in the energy sector (Oil & Gas, Utilities, Industrial)
Background in management consulting (Tier 1, 2, or boutique)
Familiarity with vendor ecosystems (Microsoft, AWS, Google, Accenture, etc.)
