The EMEA IT SAP Financials Business Process Architect (EMEA SAP FI-CO BPA) supports the planning and execution of the IT Strategy for the EMEA Region. The role involves driving the adoption of a global model based on the US SAP ECC system and rolling out the solution in European companies. The architect reports to the EMEA IT ERP Program Lead and is responsible for analyzing, developing, and deploying the GPI SAP solution in collaboration with EU Business Process Enablers and Local Referents. Contributions to platform evolution in line with IT strategy are also expected. This position can be based in Spain or Poland.
Main responsibilities include:
1. Leading the rollout of the GPI US SAP system in Controlling and Finance within the EMEA region.
2. Deepening process knowledge in areas such as Product Costing, Variance Analysis, Sales & Profitability Controlling (CO-PA), Project System Controlling, and Finance (GL, AP, AR, AA, SL).
3. Ensuring integration with SAP modules (MM/SD/PP) and supporting SAP S/4HANA migration post ECC rollout.
4. Managing application maintenance, troubleshooting, modifications, and enhancements in the EMEA team.
5. Documenting processes and delivering user training.
6. Supporting projects and reporting to the Program Lead.
7. Facilitating stakeholder negotiations and supporting business process modeling (BPMN, Process Diagrams).
8. Designing system elements, data migration, and functional specifications.
9. Supporting data cleansing activities and managing data uploads.
10. Interacting with internal teams and external vendors, including SAP and consulting firms.
11. Participating in testing, validation, and go-live activities, ensuring on-budget and on-time delivery.
12. Driving change management and stakeholder alignment throughout project phases.
Key skills and competencies:
* Minimum 7 years of experience in SAP CO and 5 years in SAP FI, with proven large IT transformation project experience.
* Strong background in financial business processes, especially in Printing/Packaging or Consumer Products industries.
* Knowledge of SAP design, customization, and enhancement techniques (EDIs, LSMW, BAPIs, BADIs), with familiarity with WinShuttle and ABAP debugging.
* Understanding of S/4HANA relevant to the role.
* Postgraduate degree (Master’s) in IT, Engineering, Economics, or related fields.
* Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and change management skills; team-oriented and results-driven.
