As part of Kardex’s NorthStar transformation program, the SAP Application Owner – O2C (Order to Cash) is responsible for ensuring that the systems supporting O2C processes are designed, implemented, and continuously optimized to align with Kardex’s target operating model and global strategy.
This role serves as a functional bridge between business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring the O2C solution landscape supports efficient, standardized, and scalable processes across all Kardex divisions and regions. The Application Owner is responsible for the application roadmap and managing related risks and dependencies. The Application Owner ensures a simplified, harmonized and highly automated solution and works closely with business and IT stakeholders to drive sustainable value.
The Application Owner takes ownership of the end-to-end O2C SAP solution and is responsible for driving continuous improvement, coordinating changes with the Process Owner and Solution Architect, and suppporting the O2C Key User community.
Your tasks
Main Accountabilities (tasks and responsibilities)
1. Own and manage the SAP O2C application landscape within the NorthStar program.
2. Ensure alignment of the O2C system solution with the global process design and Kardex strategy.
3. Act as the primary functional expert for SAP SD and O2C-related processes (e.g., customer orders, billing, pricing) and in-depth understanding of related data- and table-structure.
4. Collaborate with the O2C Process Owner and IT Solution Architect to prioritize and implement enhancements, change requests, and system improvements, managing ongoing customization and reduced developments as needed.
5. Ensure SAP solutions are stable, scalable, and support efficient end-to-end O2C processes.
6. Partner with the systems integrator to support rollouts and release updates, including fit-gap analysis, configuration reviews, testing, training, and Go Live activities; actively contribute to preparation for go-lives.
7. Actively support the testing and training phase in collaboration with the systems integrator and key users ahead of the first pilot go-live.
8. Serve as the key support contact for the O2C Global Key User and the Key User community across business units and geographies.
9. Develop, maintain and continuously improve clear process documentation and training materials.
10. Support global and local master data quality (business partner master data, pricing, and sales documents).
11. Actively participate in master data governance and contribute as a Master Data Expert in the MDG/MDM community.
12. Collaborate closely with adjacent process areas (e.g., L2O, R2R, P2D, I2R) to ensure integration, interface control and data flow consistency.
13. Support development and standardization of O2C-related reports and KPIs.
14. Ensure compliance with the global SAP O2C template and process standards.
15. Act as a main interface between business stakeholders and IT, translating business needs into SAP functionality.
16. Monitor and assess system usage and process adoption across regions, driving improvements where needed.

Role Requirements
Training/Education:
25. Bachelor´s or master´s degree in economics, business management, financial management or equivalent professional education with several years of professional experience
26. English CEFR Level B2 (advanced intermediate) or C1 (intermediate)
27. German or other European languages are an advantage
Professional Experience:
28. 5 years of experience with SAP SD applications (Sales & Distribution) in SAP ECC and/or S/4Hana systems in an application leadership role (e.g. key user, process manager)
29. Experience in SAP order processing, data management and sales reporting
30. Preferably basic knowledge in SAP processing of configurable materials and in SAP roles and authorizations to ensure appropriate access control and support for business operations.
31. In-depth Microsoft applications knowledge (e.g. Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI)
32. Experience of working in a global matrix industrial manufacturing organization
