The Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled Backend-focused Software Developer to develop platform services and integrations emphasizing extensibility, throughput, and scalability. Responsibilities include writing test-covered code, participating in peer reviews, ensuring smooth CI/CD deployment, and adhering to Agile methodologies.
Responsibilities:
* Develop platform services and integrations considering extensibility, throughput, and scalability.
* Write comprehensive tests for your code.
* Participate in peer code reviews.
* Own your code and ensure its successful deployment to production.
* Follow Agile principles by breaking work into small, valuable increments.
* Use metrics to guide development and validate functionalities.
* Work with CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and reduce manual work.
Requirements:
* Experience with object-oriented programming, preferably Java.
* Experience with cloud-native environments, GCP, and Kubernetes is a plus.
* Experience building REST APIs for scalable, high-availability systems.
* Skills in performance tuning and analysis tools.
* Educational background in Computer Science or STEM is advantageous but not mandatory.
* Proactive attitude and ability to write clean, maintainable code.
* Comfortable working with Git or similar version control systems.
* Strong communication skills in English.
* Interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn and improve daily.
* Proven experience in developing transactional, high-volume web applications for eCommerce is preferred.
