Job Description :
Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Concert Services, the Concert Services Production Manager assists with the production and maintenance of facilities at the Conservatory, including sound, electrical, and lighting systems. The role involves technical production support for concerts, clinics, recitals, and events both on and off campus. The manager collaborates with various departments to set up and operate facilities for college functions and external rentals, meetings, and events. Supervises 2-14 student workers across up to four venues, mainly during evenings and weekends.
Essential Functions / Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Supervise and train work-study stage crew employees.
2. Provide technical and lighting support for events at Conservatory venues and off-campus locations.
3. Ensure protocols are followed by student workers to facilitate smooth, timely, and incident-free concerts and events, including enforcing occupancy limits.
4. Coordinate equipment and instrument transportation between venues.
5. Review technical requirements, equipment needs, and repairs with the Associate Director of Concert Services.
6. Maintain and distribute event, production, and maintenance records.
7. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the role.
