What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a GNSS System Engineer with solid experience in systems engineering best practices, particularly during the conception, specification and design phases of complex systems. The ideal candidate will contribute to GNSS-related projects, tackling complex technical challenges and producing high-quality technical documentation in compliance with applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform system engineering activities during conception, specification and design phases.
• Manage and track system requirements using tools such as DOORS and project tracking tools like JIRA.
• Contribute to the definition and analysis of GNSS system concepts, signals and performances.
• Analyse GNSS-related aspects such as RF interferences detection and geolocation.
• Work with radiofrequency concepts including link budgets, RF and baseband subsystems.
• Support instrumentation management activities.
• Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches using tools such as Capella or Enterprise Architect.
• Address complex technical system problems and produce clear, structured technical documentation.
• Ensure alignment with ESA ECSS or similar applicable standards.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to system-level decisions.
Requirements
• Experience in systems engineering best practices, especially in early project phases (conception, specification and design).
• Experience with requirement management tools such as DOORS (advanced level) and tracking tools like JIRA.
• Strong understanding of GNSS systems, including GNSS concepts, signals and system performance.
• Knowledge of RF interference detection and geolocation techniques.
• Solid understanding of radiofrequency concepts, including link budgets and RF/baseband subsystems.
• Experience in instrumentation management.
• Experience with MBSE tools such as Capella, Enterprise Architect or similar.
• Familiarity with ESA ECSS or similar standards.
• Background in Defence and Security environments related to Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS).
• Advanced knowledge in GNSS-based, WiFi, cellular and RF geolocation technologies.
• Approximately 4–5 years of relevant professional experience in similar roles.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Fluent English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
