ARQUIMEA Research Center (ARC), part of ARQUIMEA, was established in 2019 with the aim of inventing the technologies of tomorrow. We focus on Deep Tech solutions with a significant impact on markets and future global challenges. Our projects arise from the convergence of exponential technologies or Deep Tech : Nanotechnology and Materials, Sensors, Drones & Robotics, Biotechnology & Genetics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Quantum Technologies, Networks & Security, Digital Manufacturing.
We are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join our team. The main task will be the design, implementation, and testing of electronic and optoelectronic systems.
Tasks to be performed :
* Design, develop, and test electronic systems, including instrumentation and sensor conditioning systems, optoelectronic systems, and RF antennas and transceivers.
* Plan and execute tasks in collaboration with the R&D team to ensure project objectives are met.
* Evaluate and recommend hardware development process improvements in collaboration with engineering management.
* Work in a multidisciplinary team researching and developing electronic equipment for various sectors such as industrial, photonics, or space.
* Participate in the integration and testing of electronic systems.
* Participate in tasks related to new product development, including planning, task estimation, design, design verification, peer review, integration, and release.
* Create and maintain comprehensive technical project documentation.
* Participate in the analysis and specification of electronic subsystems and lead design reviews.
Required skills, experience, and candidate profile :
1. MSc in Electronics Engineering / Telecommunications or similar.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.
3. Proven experience in the design and development of optoelectronic systems.
4. Prior knowledge in mixed-signal front-end and radio frequency front-end systems.
5. Ability to work in collaborative and multidisciplinary environments.
6. Analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems.
7. Good communication and reporting skills.
8. Solid basis in analog and digital electronics design.
9. Experience in firmware design for microcontrollers.
10. Design schematics and PCB layouts for mixed-signal electronic circuits with Altium designer or other ECAD tools.
11. Experience with circuit capture tools as well as simulation tools at system and circuit levels.
12. Proven experience using advanced electronic instrumentation.
