IRB Barcelona seeks to recruit a Health and Safety Section Head, part of the People and Academic Affairs Department, to oversee its in-house Health and Safety Service and to develop a safe working environment in compliance with legal regulations, while promoting a strong culture of health and safety awareness across the institute.
Key responsibilities :
* Manage the in-house Health & Safety Service in collaboration with the external prevention service.
* Draft, update, and monitor Health & Safety documentation.
* Organize, coordinate, and monitor risk assessments, regular site inspections, emergency procedures, and the dissemination of information to all employees.
* Coordinate medical check-ups.
* Plan and monitor annual Health & Safety actions.
* Monitor, investigate, and report on workplace accidents and incidents.
* Liaise with relevant authorities, organize, and conduct audits of the Health and Safety System.
* Manage and coordinate Health & Safety training.
* Provide expert advice, information, and assessment on Health and Safety issues.
* Coordinate Occupational Risk Prevention activities.
* Assess and oversee the Health and Safety Committees.
* Oversee the facility's biosafety management, ensuring adherence to established protocols, regulatory compliance, and promotion of a safe working environment.
* Regarding Quality management :
Develop and maintain the Quality Management System.
* Design and improve processes related to quality.
* Maintain policies, manuals, procedures, and records.
You have
* Experience : At least 5 years in a similar role.
* Knowledge :
Degree in Risk Prevention, Science, or a related field.
* Occupational risk prevention degree or Master’s degree in Occupational Risk Prevention, preferably with a scientific university degree (biology, chemistry, etc.), including all three specializations : Security in the workplace, Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics, and Psychosociology.
* Skills : Proficiency in MS Office tools, teamwork, proactivity, client orientation, motivated, and responsible.
* Languages : High level of both spoken and written English.
