As the Clinical Research Physician Head you will be responsible for the scientific leadership of clinical research activities within the Clinical Research Department. You will operate in a wide range of aspects in clinical and pharmaceutical medicine, providing scientific and therapeutic expertise in the Company interactions with health authorities, health care providers, colleagues, and contract research organisations (CROs). Your role will be focused on overseeing medical activities in phase I–IV clinical trials, ensuring compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards; as well as participating in the elaboration of clinical development plans and scientific divulgation. You will line-manage and develop the scientific group of the department and will report to the Global Head of the Department.
Key responsibilities:
• Lead medical oversight of clinical trials (Phase I–IV)
• Contribute to clinical development plans and pipeline strategy
• Support go/no-go decisions based on scientific and operational insights
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ICH-GCP standards
• Lead, develop and inspire a team of Clinical Scientists and Medical Experts
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Regulatory Affairs, xohynlm Medical Affairs, and other key stakeholders
• Support interactions with health authorities and regulatory agencies
What we are looking for:
• Medical Degree (Ophthalmology preferred)
• +5 years of experience in clinical research or clinical development
• Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP and regulatory frameworks
• Proven leadership and team management experience
• Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish
