This position reports directly to the Finance Manager in Madrid and plays a crucial role in maintaining financial excellence and operations across Sony Pictures Releasing Distribution. It is a fixed-term position ending December 2025, with the potential to extend.
Responsibilities:
* Financial Planning & Budgeting: Partner with Finance Manager to develop and manage annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for Overhead and Titles. Utilize EPM tools for financial accuracy. Prepare and analyze slate projections, validate release dates, and conduct film rights reviews. Ensure accuracy of Interplan figures.
* Local Production Finance Management: Oversee Local Product Accounting, compile financial data, manage invoice processing, maintain a local productions database, monitor tax incentives, and stay updated on regulatory changes and funding opportunities. Coordinate subsidies documentation and liaise with Accounts Payable.
* Asset Management & Compliance: Request asset shells creation, generate depreciation reports, conduct asset reviews, and collaborate on compliance and audit requirements with GFO Tax team.
* General Accounting Operations: Partner with RTR and Cap Gemini teams for accounting bookings, process monthly bookings, and manage expenses including warehouse summaries, transportation, screening room allocations, prepayments, and rent.
* Accounts Payable Management: Oversee purchase orders, review expenses, manage vendor relationships, supervise AP invoices, review payment proposals, and oversee credit card reconciliation.
