The candidate will be welcomed within the Vendor management unit, which is a transversal area within Telefónica Global Solutions, in charge of managing the end-to-end relation with our partners / providers, both on the economic level and strategic discussions, as well as by giving support to the operational areas and business units.
Mission
As a Vendor Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for building strategy, engagement, managing the cost of sale budget, and achieving economic targets associated with the vendors under your responsibility. You will manage vendors from regions such as APAC and Eastern Europe, based in Madrid.
Accountabilities / Responsibilities
* Build and maintain relationships with assigned vendors.
* Take full ownership of the cost of sale budget and control efficiencies.
* Develop and execute efficiency plans.
* Engage in transversal activities for key customers in your region, such as developing new products with vendors, exploring new business opportunities, and quality assurance and validation of new business.
* Support other areas within Telefónica Global Solutions in communication with vendors to ensure smooth operations for our customers, including commercial, service delivery, and service assurance teams.
* Create and maintain comprehensive action plans (including strategic, economic, and operational activities) for each vendor.
* Assist the Vendor Strategy & Agreements Unit in negotiating agreements with existing vendors and onboarding new vendors.
* Monitor business evolution, including new demand and cancellations.
* Contribute to the evolution of our processes and tools.

Qualifications, Training & Experience
* University Degree (Engineering, Telecoms, etc.).
* Approximately 6 years of experience in telecommunications or vendor management.
* High proficiency in Spanish and English, both spoken and written; knowledge of Chinese is a plus.
* Strong knowledge of the global telecommunications industry.
* Availability to travel.
* Data analysis skills are advantageous.
