Role Purpose
As an Inside Sales Executive, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth by converting qualified leads, generating new business opportunities, and managing a strong, healthy sales pipeline to meet and exceed targets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Performance & Target Delivery
1. Achieve and exceed annual sales targets aligned with business priorities
2. Develop and execute clear action plans to drive consistent performance
3. Deliver agreed KPIs through a balanced mix of lead conversion, outbound activity, and pipeline management
Lead Management & Conversion
4. Manage marketing-generated leads in a timely and professional manner
5. Conduct effective discovery conversations to understand client needs
6. Convert opportunities in line with or above agreed conversion rates
Pipeline Development
7. Proactively build and maintain a strong pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, and follow-ups
8. Ensure sufficient value and progression at every stage of the pipeline
9. Identify gaps early and take corrective action
Quotation & Proposal Management
10. Prepare, manage, and follow up on quotations and proposals
11. Apply pricing strategies effectively to achieve target margins
12. Drive opportunities through to successful closure
CRM & Reporting
13. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Salesforce and other CRM systems
14. Record all client interactions, proposals, and follow-up actions
15. Provide reliable sales forecasts and pipeline reports
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
16. Work closely with Marketing, Service Delivery, and Sales teams
17. Ensure a smooth handover of new business contracts
18. Escalate risks or issues promptly to protect the client experience
Skills & Experience
Essential
19. Proven track record in BB or BC sales
20. Consistent achievement of sales targets
21. Strong experience in pipeline development and lead conversion
22. Experience preparing quotations, bids, and proposals
23. Solid commercial awareness, including margin management
24. Strong communication and active listening skills
25. Ability to prioritise effectively and work independently
26. Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and standard IT tools
Desirable
27. Experience presenting proposals to senior stakeholders
28. Knowledge of the Inspection Services sector
