Regional quality systems & project manager

The Regional Quality Systems & Project Manager's main responsibility is to support monitoring, controlling, and reporting on BQ EMEA bakery performance, including quality and food safety, compliance with standards, and strategic initiatives. This role also supports bakeries producing for QSR.

Key Job Responsibilities:

1. KPI Governance & Reporting: Consolidates, reports, and analyzes Quality & Food Safety KPIs to assess progress against Business Plan objectives, identify priorities, and track critical actions related to recalls, complaints, incidents, and audit findings.
2. Compliance Monitoring: Ensures adherence to customer, legal, and internal BQ-GB quality and food safety requirements. Supports communication and implementation of new standards and investigates deviations in the quality system.
3. Systems Management & Training: Provides technical support and training on customer platforms (e.g., McD SIM, OnPoint, Amabis, RBI SPEQ, KFC TraceOne) and BQ quality systems (e.g., Freshability, Power BI, SPC). Suggests continuous improvements.
4. Projects Management: Oversees execution of customer projects and BQ strategic initiatives using established project management methodologies and tools.
5. CAPEX Monitoring: Tracks food safety and quality CAPEX and investments, justifies delays or cancellations.
6. Document Management: Manages quality and food safety document control systems.
7. Supports data requests, organizes, and presents information for internal review and meetings.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Key Competencies and Skills:

* Excellent communication, planning, time management, and organizational skills.
* High accuracy in reading and processing written information; attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively in team environments across functions.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, Co-Pilot).
* Strong data management and analysis skills, including experience with Power BI and Excel Pivot tables.
* Experience with project management tools (Gantt charts, MS Planner, Smartsheet).
* Leadership qualities, autonomous work approach, results-oriented, adaptability to change.

Education and Work Experience:

* Minimum of 4 years' experience in the food manufacturing industry, preferably in bakeries.
* Knowledge of GMP and quality & food safety standards.
* Experience with QSR customers (McDonald’s, RBI, KFC) is a plus.
* Proficiency in English (B2 or higher) and basic Spanish skills.
* Training in GMP, HACCP, prerequisites, GFSI schemes (FSSC 22000, IFS), baking processes, and QSR standards is desirable.

The position can be based anywhere in Continental Europe where BQ or Bimbo has a bakery.
