D ANIMATION / ANIMATION PIPELINE TD
We are looking for an Animation Pipeline TD to work closely with the Pipeline Department in the design, development, optimization and maintenance of pipeline and production tools.
YOUR ROLE
- Maintain the existing code base, with focus on debugging and continuous improvement of its architecture. The goal is twofold: minimize downtime of artists, and ensure a robust/well structured code base that facilitates team scalability and collaboration with other TDs.
- Understand the visual requirements for 2D and 3D animation, design procedures, techniques, and tools to meet those needs.
- Collaborate with CG supervisors as well as department leads in order to provide creative ideas and solutions to enhance visual and technical quality.
- Develop tools and procedures that support the creative process for the animation team, including the integration of industry-standard DCC software and emerging AI-driven solutions relevant to animation and content production workflows.
- Test and validate new tool versions within an active production environment.
- Create technical specifications and documentation for new tools and maintain existing ones.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Visualization, or Computer Animation, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in pipeline development.
- Proficiency in Python scripting. Experience with PySide/PyQt.
- Familiarity with Maya, Blender, Nuke, Flow, Redshift, Arnold, Harmony.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve problems within artist scenes.
- Knowledge and/or practical experience with Artificial Intelligence tools and workflows applied to the animation, VFX, or digital content industry will be highly valued.
- Detail-oriented, autonomous, and highly organized. Experience in working with ticketing systems and in providing accurate bids for upcoming debugging or development tasks.
- Proactive, adaptable, and a motivating team player.
- Strong Spanish and English communication skills (written and verbal), including technical language.
GENERAL INFORMATION
- Office-based in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.
- Working shift: Monday to Thursday 08.00 to 16.00, Friday 08.00 to 14.00.
- Contract type: Indefinite-term contract.
