Role Overview
We are seeking an Electronics Engineer – Medical Devices to join our team in Barcelona. This role involves circuit design, firmware development, and testing of advanced medical devices, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and working closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Electronics Design & Development
* Firmware Development: Programming in C / C++ for low-power microcontrollers using bare-metal / RTOS.
* Hardware Development: Designing complex analog, power, and digital circuits, including PCBAs.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring designs meet standards such as IEC 60601, ISO 14708, and IEC 62304.
Systems Engineering & Documentation
* Conducting systems engineering activities for medical device development including Requirements Engineering and Risk Management, in compliance with ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820, and ISO 14971.
Project Management
* Supporting client communication, project planning, component sourcing, and manufacturing coordination.
Qualifications
Education:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
Technical Skills:
* Strong expertise in embedded systems and medical devices for neurostimulation or other therapies.
* Experience in circuit design and firmware programming.
* Familiarity with medical device regulations and safety standards.
Soft Skills:
* Problem-solving mindset, with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Proficiency in English and Spanish (required); knowledge of French or another European language is a plus.
Experience:
* 5+ years of experience in medical devices or another regulated industry (e.g., aerospace, automotive, defense).
