Position Summary:
Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests. Set tables according to the type of event and service standards. Answer questions about menu selections. Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, re-cook orders, and product availability. Convey additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. Record transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order. Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glassware, etc., throughout the day. Complete closing duties, including restocking items and turning off lights. Present accurate checks to guests and process payments.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Follow all company policies and safety procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management; complete safety training and certifications.
* Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
* Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
* Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards.
* Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist guests with disabilities, and thank guests sincerely.
* Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
* Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to colleagues’ concerns.
* Adhere to quality standards and expectations.
* Read and verify information in various formats, including small print.
* Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance; perform physical tasks including reaching, bending, twisting, and climbing stairs or ramps.
Preferred Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* At least 1 year of related work experience.
* No supervisory experience required.
* No specific licenses or certifications necessary.
