Boeing Technology Innovation-Europe is seeking Experienced Systems Safety Engineer, reporting to the Manager of Model Based Safety and Platform Systems from our offices in Madrid, Spain.
The System Safety Engineer will be part of the Digital Engineering (DE) Innovation Hub, a integral initiative with the mission of supporting Boeing's transition to Digital Engineering.
The selectedcandidate will focus on the development, deployment, and execution of system safety analysis, product security analysisand solutions using advanced model-based approaches.

Position Responsibilities
Providing safety analysis and product securityexpertise to program stakeholders and leadership
Utilize Model Based Engineering / Digital Engineering tools to analyze architectures / designs and develop safety deliverables.
Conduct research in the area of systems engineering, systems safety and product security, with emphasis in Model Based Safety Analysis (MBSA), Product Security Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, methods, training and tools.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry or related field
Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in Systems Safety, Product Securityand / or Systems Engineering.
Experience with ARP****A, DO-326 / DO-356, ARP****B, MIL-STD-882E or similar
Fluent in both verbal and written English
Able to travel both domestically and internationally
Must be legally able to work in Europe
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience performing system safety analysis.
Working knowledge of Hazard Analyses, FMEA's, Airplane Level Threats (Particular Risk Analyses) and Fault Trees and / or System Safety Assessments (SSAs).
1+ years of experience with commercial airplane certification, safety requirements and procedures
Experience with FAR Part *******, and industry practices like ARP****, ARP****, DO-326 / DO-356.
1+ years of experience in Commercial Airplane-Systems design or analysis (e.g. Flight Controls, Hydraulics, Avionics, Fuels, etc.) or Systems Integration
Model Based Safety Analysis (MBSA), Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Model Based Engineering application and toolsets (such as MATLAB Simulink, SCADE, Cameo, Rhapsody, CAFTA, PTC Windchill, 3DX, etc.)
Excellent collaboration skills and experience with Agile methodologies
Pilots license is a plus.

Typical Education
Education / experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Spain.
