Job Summary
As a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Consultant, you will be responsible for providing specialized care to expectant mothers and their unborn children, focusing on high-risk pregnancies. This role involves diagnosing and managing complications during pregnancy, conducting comprehensive assessments, and developing individualized care plans. The consultant collaborates with obstetricians, neonatologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal maternal and fetal health outcomes. Additionally, the position includes educating patients and their families about pregnancy-related issues, as well as participating in research and training initiatives to advance the field of maternal-fetal medicine. Strong communication, clinical expertise, and compassion are essential for success in this role.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide high-quality maternal-fetal medicine care to patients.
2. Provide consultative services as requested.
3. Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents.
4. Participate in training and teaching of residents and fellows.
5. Engage in research activities.
6. Participate in committees and administrative functions as needed.
7. Perform special procedures as privileged.
8. Follow hospital policies and procedures.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
* Graduate from a reputable medical school.
* Completion of training in maternal-fetal medicine (MFM).
* Board certification or equivalent (e.g., American Board, FRCS Irish, UK, Canadian, New Zealand, Australian, Diplôme d'Etudes Spécialisées, CIS French Board, Facharzt, Sub-Board Membership, Fellowship).
* Must have a certification recognized by the Saudi Commission; Dataflow verification is mandatory.
Professional Experience
* Minimum of 3-4 years post-board/fellowship experience in fetal-maternal medicine.
* Registered member of the Saudi Board Council.
Language Proficiency
Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
