The job
As a Senior Contract Specialist, you will join the AVEVA Contract Management (CM) team, responsible for preparing and managing contract documents related to sales activities, from initiation (contract request) to completion (signature and archiving). The CM team supports the entire quote-to-fulfilment process, coordinating with Sales, Legal Counsel, Trade Compliance, Finance, Order Entry, Deal Desk, and Fulfilment teams to meet deadlines and ensure compliance with AVEVA policies.
This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and knowledge of contractual and legal terminology. It is part of the EMEA CM team, based in Madrid (Spain) or London/Cambridge (UK), supporting various parts of the EMEA region as needed. Although this position reports to the Legal Department, it is not a legal counsel role.
Responsibilities
* Assist in preparing and managing contracts related to sales activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
* Ensure adherence to AVEVA’s contracting guidelines, policies, and processes.
* Build and maintain relationships with Sales, Legal, and other relevant departments to ensure alignment.
* Handle queries from internal teams and external stakeholders promptly.
* Support activities like Trade Compliance, Credit Checks, bidding, and prequalification within the quote-to-fulfilment process.
* Facilitate contract signatures with all parties.
* Archive all documents and working papers with proper references and metadata.
* Draft and edit documents such as NDAs, Termination Letters, Novation Letters, and Price Escalation notifications under supervision.
* Perform various administrative tasks as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in commercial contracts management and administration.
* Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
* Proactive, detail-oriented, energetic, and a team player.
* Excellent communication skills with a professional, client-focused approach.
* Fluent in spoken and written English.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Desired skills
* Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
* Familiarity with IT tools like Salesforce, SharePoint, Acrobat, and DocuSign CLM.
Legal background is a plus but not required.
