With more than 150 years of history, Aranzadi La Ley is the result of the merger between both companies and is part of the Karnov group.We are currently looking for a Finance & Governance Controller – IT (Multinational) to join our Technology team. The selected person will be responsible for overseeing the financial, accounting and operational area of all IT-related activities across several countries and business units, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of the technology organization.In this role, you will act as a link between the IT operations teams and the local finance departments, and you will be the central point for monitoring the performance of the area (KPIs, reporting, standards and methodologies), as well as the main point of contact for Audit on financial and operational matters.
Main responsibilities
Consolidate and supervise the annual IT budget (OPEX and CAPEX).
Monitor monthly expenses against the budget (forecasting, variance analysis and trend reports).
Coordinate with local finance departments the management of purchase orders, accruals and month-end closing.
Support finance teams in the correct accounting and allocation of IT costs across countries, departments and projects.
Support intercompany billing processes related to IT expenses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the group's financial policies and standards.
Help IT teams understand and manage their expenses, providing financial analysis and insights.
Prepare global financial reports for the IT management team and the corporate finance teams.
Drive process improvement, automation and the implementation of financial control tools.
Collaborate with other Technology leaders in defining internal processes and methodologies.
Consolidate KPIs and operational reports that reflect the overall performance of the Technology area.
Act as a liaison with Audit teams to provide operational and financial evidence on procedures, performance and accounts.
Collaborate with HR in coordinating FTE evolution and its impact on the budget.
Minimum requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or similar.
At least 10 years of experience in financial controlling, preferably in multinational environments and linked to IT.
Strong knowledge of analytical and budgetary accounting.
Experience in intercompany billing or consolidation processes (highly valued).
Experience working with IT departments or technology projects (desirable).
Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of financial systems (MSD 365, SAP, Oracle, Power BI, etc.).
Very high level of English, both written and spoken.
Analytical mindset, high attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
