Company Description Swim Lab International is a state-of-the-art aquatic facility located in Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote, The Canary Islands, Spain. Our unique combination of aquatic and land-based therapies help children with a wide range of neurological and developmental disorders, including Cerebral Palsy, dystrophies and rare syndromes, reach their full potential. Our team is dedicated to improving our clients' quality of life, and we offer a wide range of programs tailored to individual needs. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Physiotherapist. The Physiotherapist will be responsible for conducting assessments and developing treatment plans for clients with a variety of conditions, injuries, and disabilities. The Physiotherapist will also be responsible for implementing treatment plans, monitoring progress, and adjusting the plan as needed. Qualifications Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology (be familiar with a wide range of methods and modalities for delivering physical therapy to younger clients, setting goals, and measuring results) Have strong written and verbal communication skills Problem solving skills - each client has their own set of needs and circumstances, so you should be able to effectively assess situations and devise solutions Fluency in English is essential (multiple languages is a plus) - Experience in aquatic therapy and fitness Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, parents, and other care providers Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy or related field Experience with specialized equipment and technology is a plus
Additional information This role requires a high level of patience and compassion, while assisting clients struggling with a wide range of physical limitations While administering therapy you may need to lift, carry clients and support their weight, so physical strength and stamina are both necessary. Recording clients' progress and modifying the plan of care if needed Educating clients and family members about the recovery process Desire to travel - travel is a big part of our work and training will happen in Europe.
