As a Product System Development Engineer at MAHLE, you will be responsible for:
* Project E/E Development according to timing plan and assigned budget.
* Coordinating engineering domains: Requirements Management, Hardware, Software, Mechanics, Functional Safety, Validation, and Industrialization.
* Achieving prototypes and project milestones, ensuring MAHLE PDP deliverables.
* Design to Cost, Design for Manufacturing, and Design for Quality.
How can you become part of our success?
* Technical and strategic coordination with the Product System Development Team Leader.
* Complete technical management of new product development.
* Applying lessons learned from previous projects.
* Managing technical resources at the project level.
* Serving as the main technical interface with the customer and production plant.
* Analyzing and negotiating customer requirements with the System Requirements Engineer.
* Coordinating development tasks across technical domains: System Requirements Engineering, Hardware, Software, Mechanics, Quality, Functional Safety, Validation, Industrialization.
* Developing the project according to budget and planning.
* Collaborating closely with the Project Manager on risk and cost analysis.
* Responsible for Design to Cost, Design for Manufacturing, and Design for Quality.
* Planning and monitoring development cycles following MAHLE PDP.
* Aligning prototype maturity levels with project milestones.
* Approving the eBOM for each development cycle.
* Owning Release Notes.
* Organizing technical reviews involving other domains and the quality department.
* Reviewing Design FMEA with the quality department.
* Defining critical or safety characteristics of the product.
* Managing and resolving technical problems.
* Willingness to travel and provide on-site technical support.
* Keeping the Project Manager and Team Leader informed about project progress.
What skills do you need?
* Degree in Electronics, Telecommunication Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Physics, or similar.
* Proficiency in Spanish (C1 level).
* Technical background in electronics development, especially in automotive electronics.
* Experience with Microsoft Office, including MS Planning, Gantt, or similar tools.
* Experience with MahCad or similar software.
* Technical knowledge in electronics design fields: Hardware, Layout, Software, Mechanical, Validation, Functional Safety, Prototyping, or Industrialization.
* Experience with laboratory instrumentation and test setups: CANoe, INCA, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, power supplies, electronics loads, spectrum analyzer, etc.
* Strong cross-functional communication skills.
* Problem-solving skills in electronics.
Desirable skills include:
* Coordination of cross-functional technical teams (5-10 people).
* Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes.
* Knowledge of Automotive SPICE processes.
* Knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO26262).
* Experience in reporting to management.
* Previous experience with customers and suppliers, especially in automotive and power electronics sectors.
