Opportunity – Cloud Operations Lead
About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Cloud Operations Technical Lead
to oversee the day-to-day operations, performance, and reliability of our cloud infrastructure. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our cloud environments across multiple platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, OpenShift).
Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and operations Demonstrated experience leading technical teams in cloud operations, infrastructure, or DevOps environments Strong experience with writing infrastructure as code with any of CDK, Terraform, and or CloudFormation (or other equivalent). Strong experience with automated deployment tooling with any of AWS Code Pipeline/Build (etc), Azure DevOps,(or other equivalent). Very good understanding of multiple cloud services in AWS and or Azure. Reasonable familiarity with servers operating systems, networking, data stores, databases, and identity access management. Experience in managing priorities, delegating tasks, and ensuring timely delivery of operational and project-based objectives
Required technical skills:
Proven experience in cloud computing (Microsoft Azure and/Or AWS) Terraform Infrastructure as code automation Experience with Azure networking tools (VNET, BGP, etc.) End-to-end DevOps automation via CI/CD pipelines to deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and usage of tools (e.g., ADO, GitHub/Actions, Jenkins, or equivalents). Proven ability to manage infrastructure environments, configurations and workflows via self-service automation Proficiency in scripting languages: e.g. Python, PowerShell, YAML, KQL, other Knowledge and experience in testing automation harnesses and frameworks Understanding and ability to ensure operational stability and enforcement of security controls via Policy-as-Code and IaC automation.
Other skills or abilities expected:
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, including senior leadership. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ITIL-based service management practices
