The Global Brand Director will be responsible for driving the pre-commercialization and commercialization strategies, leading the development of the commercialization plan in collaboration with the Global Specialty Care TA cross-functional team, the Global Medical and Scientific Affairs team, and supporting in-country sales and marketing efforts.
This role will oversee day-to-day brand operations, including strategic and tactical plan development, branding and creative strategies, strategic communication, budget management, and KPI monitoring.
This is a remote position, open to candidates located anywhere in Europe.
This is an individual contributor role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the Olezarsen brand in partnership with the VP Head of Immunology and Specialty Care to ensure a successful launch and the development and execution of strategies to maximize product potential and support regional activities.
* Coordinate the development and implementation of global brand strategies, including positioning, communication, congress strategies, KOL management, geographical expansion, and training across all regions and markets, integrated into the Global Commercialization Plan.
* Manage daily brand marketing activities aligned with key milestones, budget, and KPIs.
* Lead global cross-functional teams, including Market Access, Medical, Patient Access, Regulatory, Tech Ops, Business Intelligence, and Finance, ensuring alignment with the brand strategy.
* Partner with the VP and portfolio CAT Lead on daily activities and processes such as LRP, EPR, SPR, ExCom reviews, and CEO meetings.
* Develop and maintain strong partnerships with affiliates to gather insights and provide strategic guidance and tactical support for successful local launches.
* Engage with external stakeholders, including KOLs, to establish a strong foundation for the brand’s success.
* Control external expenses related to promotion and advertising, ensuring alignment with budgets and resource optimization.
* Represent the commercial function within the Core Asset Team (CAT) and coordinate with peers to ensure synergies and address common challenges.
* Collaborate with Ionis to maximize the global footprint of the product.
* Adhere to high ethical standards, ensuring compliance with local regulations and SOPs, including ongoing training.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* University degree in medical or science-related fields.
* Proven experience in global prelaunch and launch activities in rare diseases, preferably in Immunology.
* At least 5 years of strong brand management experience in global or leadership roles within marketing or commercial departments.
* Project management skills with a results-driven attitude.
* Experience managing multiple stakeholders, delivering results on time and within budget.
* Additional experience in sales, market analytics, and business intelligence is a plus.
* Ability to manage external consultants and agencies effectively.
* Customer relationship management experience.
