We are seeking a highly disciplined and experienced Senior Purchasing Officer to manage and streamline our vessel supply operations. This role is designed for a procurement professional who understands the urgency of the maritime industry and can work autonomously in a fully remote environment. Key Responsibilities:

End-to-End Procurement: Execute and supervise the full purchasing cycle for vessel requirements (Technical Spares, Provisions, and Stores).
\n
Vendor Management: Maintain and expand our network of general ship chandlers and suppliers, ensuring high-quality service and competitive pricing.
\n
Logistics Oversight: Coordinate with port agents and freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery to vessels across various time zones.
\n
Cost Control: Review quotes, negotiate payment terms, and optimize shipping costs to ensure budget efficiency.

Process Reliability: Ensure all procurement data is accurately maintained in our systems, minimizing errors and delays. Requirements:

Maritime Background: At least 4–5 years of experience in Marine Procurement or Ship Supply.
\n
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to find solutions for urgent vessel needs and navigate supply chain disruptions.
\n
Industry Standards: Familiarity with IMPA/ISSA coding and maritime logistics/Incoterms.
\n
English Proficiency: Professional level (written and spoken) for international communication.
\n
Remote Efficiency: Proven ability to manage a high volume of tasks independently without constant supervision.
