A-techSYN’s flagship UAV is the **CGT-50**, a LALE-class VTOL drone with high payload capacity (5 kg) and up to 6 hours of endurance. The system is renowned for its efficiency and cost-effectiveness, with over **80% of components developed in-house**.
**About ATAW**
ATAW is a joint venture company established under a UTE (Unión Temporal de Empresas) agreement between **A-techSYN Ltd** and **Aerial Works**. It serves as the official project implementation entity for the RETECH4CAN operations in Spain. While A-techSYN continues to provide its UAV platforms, systems, and technical expertise, ATAW is responsible for the local execution of flight operations in coordination with ISSEC and other stakeholders. This structure ensures compliance with Spanish legal and administrative requirements while leveraging the combined strengths of both founding companies.
**About the Role**
The role is adecuado for someone based in Fuerteventura or willing to relocate, who has a strong interest in UAV technology and enjoys working in a mission-driven, international project environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct pre-flight planning, including safety and weather checks.
- Execute safe UAV flights in accordance with internal SOPs and AESA guidelines.
- Maintain accurate flight logs, checklists, and post-mission documentation.
- Collaborate with the Flight Supervisor and technical teams during operations.
- Perform UAV system setup, assembly, field-level maintenance and pre/post-flight inspections as required.
- Coordinate closely with the relevant airspace control authorities in Fuerteventura to ensure compliant, deconflicted, and authorized UAV operations.
- Support the implementation of contingency and emergency procedures.
- Be available, when required, to travel to mainland Spain to support flight operations or training activities.
- Participate in mission briefings, daily planning meetings, and debriefings.
**Preferred Qualifications**_**(not mandatory)**_
- Valid **EASA UAS Pilot Certificate** (A1-A3 Open Category; STS or Specific Category recognized in Spain is a plus).
- Experience operating **fixed-wing VTOL UAVs**, ideally with MTOM >10 kg.
- Familiarity with UAV ground control systems (GCS) and standard checklists.
- Knowledge of UAV contingency protocols and emergency procedures.
- Previous work experience in aerodrome or controlled airspace environments.
- Simulator experience in UAV operations and emergency response scenarios.
**Assessment Requirement**
- A **written and/or practical internal assessment** will be conducted to evaluate technical understanding.
**Language Skills**
- Spanish language proficiency at C1 level or higher is required.
