HR Data Quality & Governance Lead

The role can be performed in a hybrid model and remote work can also be discussed, with local adaptations to help you thrive. We are recruiting in multiple European locations.
Responsibilities
* Drive the development and implementation of the data governance framework, creating and maintaining data standards in collaboration with Process Owners.
* Define and monitor key HR data quality KPIs, lead creation of dashboards and reports to drive actions that ensure accuracy.
* Document the end‑to‑end HR data journey, identifying ownership, interfaces and pain points.
* Act as the key HR contact point for corporate data governance, aligning HR practices with Wärtsilä-wide frameworks and contributing to HR AI and Technology governance.
* Support the Global Payroll harmonization project by translating local data needs into best‑practice global approaches.
* Collaborate with HR CoEs, HR operations, IT, data privacy, legal, central data governance and the People Analytics team to ensure data quality and governance.
* Serve as process owner for changes in employee/employment data.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in data governance, data quality management or data stewardship in a large multinational organization.
* Strong understanding of SuccessFactors processes and data model.
* Knowledge of data governance frameworks and methodologies.
* Familiarity with data privacy regulations such as GDPR.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
* Commitment to data quality and integrity.
* Ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
