Overview
The purpose of the advisory body is to serve as a resource and liaison to the Board of Supervisors, the Community Development Agency, the Planning Commission, and the community. It reviews and comments on discretionary land use and zoning applications, as well as community plan amendments within the Tamalpais Planning Area, which includes Tamalpais Valley, Homestead Valley, Almonte, Muir Woods Park, and Tennessee Valley.
Membership
All TDRB members must reside within the Planning Area. A non-resident Architect with relevant expertise, recommended by the TDRB, may serve as a member. Only one non-resident Architect can serve at a time. Efforts should be made to select technically qualified individuals representing various neighborhoods and disciplines, such as:
* Architect
* Construction or Design Professional
* Real Estate Agent or Broker
* Landscape Architect, Designer, or Contractor
* Contractor or Engineer
* Merchant or Business Owner within the Planning Area
Terms and Composition
Members serve 3-year, staggered terms. The committee consists of five members.
Stipend
Starting October 1, 2022, stipends are available for members who self-certify their household income as below the County's self-sufficiency standard. For more information or to apply, visit the Board Stipends Program webpage.
Meetings
Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. For additional information, please call 473-6269.

Applications can be obtained from the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors at Room 329, Administration Building, Marin Civic Center, or accessed online.
