A Day in the Life
Intern: Academy technical consultant graduate – Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) | Tenerife
A highly motivated Academy technical consultant graduate based in Tenerife, supporting the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) team while gaining hands‐on exposure to Medtronic's portfolio of pacing and defibrillation therapies. This role is designed to provide a strong foundation in both clinical and technical aspects of CRM, combining field experience with structured learning.
The intern will actively participate in day‐to‐day operations alongside Technical Consultants, attending procedures, supporting device follow‐ups, and understanding patient pathways. They will progressively build knowledge across key technologies such as pacemakers, ICDs, and leadless systems, while also becoming familiar with remote monitoring and digital solutions.
Through close collaboration with cross‐functional teams (Sales, Marketing, and Training & Education), the intern will develop a holistic view of the business, improving communication, problem‐solving, and adaptability in dynamic clinical environments. The experience in Tenerife also offers exposure to unique logistical and organizational challenges, fostering autonomy and accountability.
This internship aims to accelerate the transition from academic knowledge to real‐world impact, shaping a future professional with strong technical expertise, customer focus, and a patient‐first mindset.
Must Haves – Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, the following qualifications must be evident.
Graduate with a BA or Master's in Biomedical Engineering or Cardiac Physiology or similar.
Able to participate full time for a 12‐month program as an intern.
Legally authorised to work in the country where the position is based on a full‐time basis and does not require sponsorship in the future for an employment visa.
Driving licence.
Must haves
Fluency in English and Spanish.
Desire to self‐develop and learn technical information at a high level.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organisational skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Passion for people, innovation, and medical technology.
Self‐motivated, ambitious, and driven.
Willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays, which may include some unsociable hours.
A core desire to help patients by providing healthcare solutions.
Demonstrate integrity, ethics, and respect.

Internship agreement
Duration: 12 months (extendable + 6 months)
Full time
Schedule: flexible 7:30‐10:00 to 16:00‐18:30. Fridays and summer months intensive day
Office presence: minimum 2 days/week
Study aid of €900 gross/month + Food Aid (Ticket restaurant)
