The mission of the Sous Chef position is to:
➔ Maintain product quality standards and provide an excellent customer experience.
➔ Ensure work processes and procedures are followed in accordance with the organization's operational policies, together with the Head Chef.
Regarding the responsibilities and duties of the role, the Sous Chef will be responsible for:
* Product pre-preparation (mise en place) and dish preparation (service), based on the outlet's menu.
* Management of the pass during service.
* Ensure proper care, storage, and efficient use of products and/or raw materials.
* Ensure the setup, service, and breakdown of services and/or events.
* Monitor kitchen equipment and tools, reporting any related issues or incidents.
* Place orders and manage stock levels and kitchen inventories.
* Comply with HACCP policies and ensure team compliance.
* Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, following service quality standards and ensuring team compliance.
* Organize team tasks and provide training.
* Collaborate in departmental innovation by contributing ideas and techniques that help improve service quality and achieve outlet results.
Regarding the Hard Skills required for the position, we are looking for someone with:
* Training related to the vacant position.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in the position.
* Experience and/or internships in a Michelin-starred restaurant is a plus.
* Knowledge of hygiene and workplace safety regulations.
* Availability to work Monday to Sunday in 8-hour rotating shifts (2 to 3 split shifts per week may occur).
