Role Overview
The OpenStack Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining OpenStack environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with ITIL processes. The role involves critical incident management, proactive monitoring, and collaboration with internal and external teams to deliver robust cloud infrastructure services.
Key Responsibilities
* Critical & High-Impact Incident Management: Resolve critical incidents, perform root cause analysis, and document technical solutions.
* Request & Incident Handling: Manage tickets using tools like Remedy, ensuring SLA compliance.
* ITIL Process Application: Execute change, problem, and configuration management processes.
* Monitoring & Maintenance: Ensure system health, define monitoring procedures, and maintain backups.
* Technical Documentation: Create and maintain operational documentation for audits and internal use.
* Continuous Improvement: Propose optimizations for processes and tools.
* Level 2 Console Monitoring: Supervise and resolve events at Level 2.
* Audit Support: Prepare compliance evidence and assist in reviews.
* Scripting & Automation: Develop scripts for operational tasks.
* Dashboard Management: Interpret metrics and generate reports for decision-making.

* OpenStack:
* Deploy and manage OpenStack services
* Configure network and storage components
* Monitor and troubleshoot nodes
* Manage projects, users, and quotas
* Apply updates and patches
Preferred Skills
* OpenStack Administrator (OpenShift experience is a plus)
* Red Hat Technologies:
* OpenShift, KVM, SR-IOV Network Operator, Advanced Cluster Management, Satellite, RHEL, CoreOS
* Kubernetes:
* Cluster management, application deployment, resource monitoring, MetalLB configuration
* Scripting and automation experience
