Climate change is causing deep uncertainty at all levels of society, with climate volatility reducing the security of land-based assets and posing security threats for enterprises, societies, and governments.
Mitiga, a spin-off of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, which hosts MareNostrum, one of Europe's most powerful supercomputers, is dedicated to mitigating climate-driven risks using cutting-edge science and technology.
Our approach includes real-time, annual, and long-term projections, and we leverage risk transfer to capital markets via catastrophe bonds to enhance climate resilience and equity.
