Who are we looking for?
CTTC is seeking an interested candidate to work as a research engineer in networked cloud research topics within the SaS research unit.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the SaS research unit, engaging in cutting-edge research and collaborating on a project related to 6G mobile networks.
What do we offer?
* Indefinite contract for scientific and technical activities linked to the research project. Upon completion or funding end, the candidate may join other projects in the same research line, subject to budget availability.
* Annual gross salary based on the candidate's profile.
* Full-time contract: 7.5 hours/day with flexibility.
* Expected professional category: R1 / R2.
* Exceptional candidates may be considered even if they do not meet all requirements; professional category will be based on qualifications and experience per CTTC policies.
* Tenure track with career progression and potential stabilization through a permanent contract.

Qualifications and Experience
We seek a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual aiming to enhance career prospects in both public and private sectors.
* Required qualifications / skills / experience:
* BSc in Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (20 points).
* Programming skills (10 points).
* Knowledge of cloud and/or networking (10 points).
* Strong English communication skills (5 points).
* Valuable but not mandatory:
* MSc in related fields (10 points).
* PhD or equivalent expertise (10 points).
* Experience with optimization algorithms and AI (20 points).
* Practical knowledge of networking testbeds and open-source tools (20 points), including SDN, NFV, MEC, Docker, Virtual Machines, OpenStack, k8s, 4G/5G networks, Linux, Python, YAML, JSON, etc. (various points).
* Research project participation and experience with grant proposals (10 points).
