Job Description
What you’ll do
We are seeking an experienced Beverage Director to join the pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. Under the guidance of the Director of Food & Beverage, the Beverage Director will oversee the operations of all Food & Beverage outlets within the hotel. The role involves ensuring service quality aligns with the SLS brand by fostering a team culture where members feel empowered to make decisions and take responsibility for their workload and professional growth.
* Manage beverage control, including inventory, bar pars, cost controls, beverage potential analysis, and sales analysis.
* Negotiate with suppliers and implement brand contracts.
* Manage national and international beverage and mixology events.
* Implement beverage policies and procedures across the property.
* Train outlet teams on liquor control policies and procedures.
* Monitor adherence to liquor control policies.
* Ensure service standards according to SOPs are maintained.
* Oversee beverage preparation and presentation to meet standards.
* Maintain regular communication across all restaurants and bars.
* Ensure high quality and effective presentation of beverage products.
* Support administrative tasks, including reports and strategic planning.
* Facilitate new hire integration through orientation and training.
* Focus primarily (60%) on operational management.
Qualifications
What we are looking for...
* Degree in Hospitality or Bars Management.
* At least 4 years of management experience in high-volume hospitality beverage operations.
* Knowledge of the local market is a plus.
Proven leadership with high energy and motivation, aligned with company values. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and pay close attention to detail. Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English. You excel at making people feel good, inspiring your team, and building relationships across departments. You take ownership, solve problems, and make effective decisions.
