LEAD ACCOUNTANT & BUSINESS CONTROLLER
AirNest Las Palmas (one day per week WFH)
POSITION SUMMARY
AirNest is expanding rapidly—revenues have grown 76% year-over-year—and we require a Lead Accountant & Business Controller who can establish and safeguard our "single source of financial truth." You will oversee the full accounting cycle, ensure statutory compliance, and create the dashboards that inform executive decisions. The role is based in Las Palmas with the flexibility to work from home one day each week.
COMPENSATION
* Base salary: €23 000 – €28 000, commensurate with experience
* Annual bonus: Up to 15% of base, linked to close-timeliness, forecasting accuracy, and owner-satisfaction metrics
* Long-term incentive: Performance plan tied to EBITDA improvement
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily & Monthly Operations
* Record all income and expenditure across hotels, vacation rentals, coworking, and coliving assets.
* Complete a clean month-end close by the 10th of each new month; file IGIC and IS in coordination with our external accounting firm.
* Maintain a diligent Spanish PGC chart of accounts and automate data flows from Guesty into Power BI and owner reports.
* Execute payroll through our HR partner and monitor daily cash positions.
Financial Planning & Analysis
* Prepare a rolling 13-week cash-flow forecast and annual budgets.
* Produce monthly statements for property owners.
* Implement streamlined internal controls—approval matrices, expense policies, and fraud alerts.
* Benchmark margins against industry standards and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Minimum of four years' accounting experience; hospitality or real-estate exposure preferred.
* In-depth knowledge of IGIC, IS, and SII; proficient in Microsoft Excel.
* Fluency in Spanish and professional-level English.
* Practical experience with A3, Holded, or comparable ERP platforms.
