ABOUT THE POSITION

From ensuring product availability on the sales floor to creating eye-catching visual displays, addressing customer inquiries, and running an efficient checkout process, our associates create memorable customer experiences while supporting Columbia Sportswear Company's mission of Connecting Active People with Their Passions.
As a Retail Associate, you will represent our Company Brands and products to consumers. You will serve customers and share product information to help them find products that meet their needs. Retail Associates support the flow of products into the store and onto the sales floor to ensure product representation and accessibility. You will contribute to store profitability through accurate and efficient processes and assist the Store Leadership team in supporting our mission.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
* Maintain store and visual merchandising cleanliness and safety standards; restock merchandise from stock rooms and inventory locations.
* Perform cash register transactions efficiently and accurately; connect consumers to loyalty programs.
* Contribute to store profitability by receiving and processing products accurately and efficiently.
* Assist consumers by responding to questions about product features, benefits, and availability; ask questions to understand their needs and support buying decisions.
* Acquire necessary knowledge about products, policies, procedures, and programs to execute daily operations.
YOU HAVE
* No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred).
* Up to 2 years of experience in a related position or field.
* Experience interacting with and serving consumers.
* Skill operating inventory and Point of Sale (POS) systems and other retail software tools.
* Must be 16 years of age or older.
JOB CONDITIONS
* Frequently in an active environment requiring constant movement; may involve physical or strenuous activity, including adjusting/moving items weighing up to 40 lbs.; may use specialized equipment and have exposure to dust and noise.
* Occasionally work in various locations.
* Ability to communicate clearly with others.
* Availability to work a flexible retail schedule, which may change seasonally and based on business needs, adhering to all applicable laws.
