AL Solutions are working in collabortation with a small, niche full service CRO that are looking for a Medical Director who is a board certified Neurologist or Dermatologist, to join their Clinical Development team and lead the Medical Department.

This position can be worked remotely anywhere across Europe, offering flexibile start dates to accomodate notice periods.
Responsibilities
Lead the Medical Department, ensuring high standards, regulatory compliance, and adherence to SOPs.
Act as Medical Monitor for assigned studies and oversee medical oversight across the trial lifecycle (feasibility, protocol design, site selection, safety management, and study close-out).
Serve as the main escalation point for medical and safety matters, both internally and externally.
Oversee safety reporting, including AE/SAE management, audit responses, CAPAs, narratives, and periodic safety updates.
Provide therapeutic expertise across the organisation, including training, proposal review, and bid support.
Build and maintain relationships with investigators and Key Opinion Leaders to support studies and business growth.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful study delivery and client satisfaction.
Monitor departmental performance and maintain oversight of the annual budget.
Stay current with evolving regulations, guidelines, and clinical best practices
Required Experience
Board certified Neurologist / Dermatologist is essential
Signigicant experience working on clinical trials Phase I-III
Strong prior experience working within a CRO
Experience in medical monitoring, review of patient, laboratory, and safety
Previous experience of leading a Medical and/or Safety Department
Significant experience in audits and CAPA management
Strong experience supporting business development activities and bid processes. xcskxlj
