The A220 Commercial Aircraft Program is seeking a Method Agent to join our Method Support team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada).
Responsibilities
- Implement innovative solutions to improve processes and reduce costs.
- Support projects by influencing internal stakeholders and facilitating communication.
- Act as an agent of change to promote a customer‑service mindset.
- Lead continuous improvement opportunities and problem‑solving initiatives.
- Manage priorities in line with objectives.
- Synthesize simple to complex situations for presentation to different management levels.
- Interpret, verify and approve drawings and other documents from the engineering department.
- Establish assembly and manufacturing strategies for aircraft components.
- Define the tools needed to manufacture or assemble aircraft components to ensure required geometric tolerancing.
- Harmonize implementation of engineering or assembly strategy changes by collaborating with engineering, materials, logistics, quality and production teams.
- Identify ways to improve assembly and manufacturing strategies and participate in research and development projects.
Qualifications
- College diploma (DEC / AEC) and/or university degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, aeronautical manufacturing or related disciplines.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of interior finishing (asset).
- General knowledge of dependencies between positions in the aeronautical manufacturing system.
- Detailed knowledge of planning, logistics, quality and production processes.
- Strong leadership, ability to question processes and willingness to grow colleagues and other functions.
