The business of FMC Thailand can be broadly divided in two groups - the marketing and sales of dialysis products (Fresenius Medical Care - products division: CE) and the marketing and sales of services related to the operation of dialysis facilities (CD). The Medical Director provides support for and core expertise to both activities. For both, a high level of knowledge and expertise in the biology and treatment of renal failure is required for optimum effectiveness of the Company’s sales, marketing, clinical and business teams throughout the region.**Position entails following responsibility**- Document, record and report the epidemiology of ESRD and dialysis activity in the country.- Participate in preparation and delivery of materials related to the medical, scientific and technological basis of renal failure and its treatment as part of the continuing education and training of the Company’s staff.- Participate in preparation and delivery of materials related to the medical, scientific and technological basis of renal failure and its treatment to customers and potential customers of the Company.- Participate in review and implementation of CD standards of practice, clinical policies and procedures and medical governance of dialysis facilities affiliated with CD. Participate in the meetings and activities of the Company’s scientific, medical and research groups.- Assist and facilitate collaborators in basic and clinical research in development and implementation of research protocols and presentation in collaboration with the FMC AP clinical research review committee (CRRC).- Participate in the strategic planning and implementation of marketing programs for CE and CD- Develop and drive delivery of educational and other support services for customers and potential customers - physicians, nurses and patients.- Develop, maintain and exploit professional relationships with peers in the medical community as well as with medical and marketing departments of FMC.- Serve as the head / facilitator of the FMC Medical Advisory Board and Clinical Advisory Board in Thailand.**Professional Development of Self**Responsible for availing of and utilizing personal, corporate and other resources to:- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all aspects of treatment of end-stage renal disease- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FMC’s and its competitors’ range of products and services in renal replacement therapy- Develop and enhance person and job management skills- Participate in one or more courses of formal education seeking advancement of clinical and/or management qualifications
