Main responsibilities:
* Work across the full stack to design, develop, and implement new features using Ruby, Rails, HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern web components.
* Write and maintain clean, efficient, and reliable code for both front-end and back-end systems.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing and new code to ensure the smooth and continuous operation of web applications.
* Maintain and optimize APIs, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
* Build dynamic and responsive user interfaces with a focus on delivering seamless and intuitive user experiences.
Core skills/experience:
* 6+ years of professional experience as a Fullstack Engineer with a strong background in Ruby, Rails, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks.
* Proven track record of modernizing legacy systems, including migrations from monoliths to microservices or cloud-native architectures.
* Solid experience designing and implementing reusable web components for dynamic and scalable UI development.
* Strong expertise in building and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications in AWS environments (e.g., Lambda, EC2, S3).
* Deep understanding of API design and management, ensuring reliability and high availability.
* Proficient in building responsive, intuitive user interfaces using modern front-end technologies.
* Skilled in agile methodologies and modern development workflows, including Git and CI/CD pipelines.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
Nice to have:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and services like Lambda, EC2, and S3.
* Exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks such as Backbone, Aurelia, React, Vue.js, or Angular.
* Familiarity with building web applications with modern JavaScript frameworks like Backbone, Aurelia, React, Vue.js, or Angular.
