Position PurposeA versatile position within a dynamic nonprofit that helps communities recover after disasters and gets children back in school. The position isfull-time and is responsible for creating compelling, human-centered stories that authentically represent communities, align with AH&H's brand identity and voice, and strengthen awareness, engagement, and fundraising efforts. This role supports a consistent flow of content from the field to keep audiences informed about project activities and impact, while ensuring all content adheres to strict community safeguarding policies and ethical storytelling standards.

Essential Functions
Capture raw, authentic video and still footage of AH&H work, volunteers, and communities served.
Develop, edit, and produce short- and long-form social media videos tailored to various platforms (Instagram, Threads, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, X).
Stay current on social media trends and audience behaviors to create culturally relevant and impactful content.
Capture content documenting grant-funded activities.
Partner with marketing, development, and program teams to execute best-in-class social media video strategies targeting donors, volunteers, and supporters.
Organize and maintain a centralized content library, ensuring all photos, videos, and other media assets are properly categorized, labeled, and stored for easy access.
Attend and participate in daily ops catch up, daily staff check-ins and weekly.bi-weekly meetings, and bi-weekly Ops and Communication meetings.
Recruit, train and schedule volunteers to support content creation.
Share photos with various teams and departments as required.
Keep track of the Best Practices and Lessons Learned on program and update appropriate tracking sheets.
Support Ops team with program tasks when required
Perform other duties as required
Position Requirements
Education Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Production, Film, Digital Media, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Related Experience 2+ years of experience in photography, videography, or multimedia storytelling, ideally within the nonprofit, humanitarian, or media sectors. Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality visual content under tight deadlines and in challenging environments. Experience gathering stories directly from the field and transforming them into emotionally engaging, human-centered narratives.
Special Competencies/Certifications Proficient in photography, videography, and multimedia editing — including use of programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and CapCut. Ability to produce, edit, and package visual stories optimized for web and social media platforms. Experience using design and publishing tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and collaboration tools like Google Workspace and Slack. Familiarity with major social media platforms (Instagram, Threads, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, TikTok). Highly organized, with a flexible approach to managing multiple priorities and balancing steady pipelines with program needs. Good written and oral communication skills. Applicants need to be well organized and have a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks and prioritizing them appropriately. The individual thrives in both structured content planning and fast moving, unpredictable environments. Cross-culturally sensitive with the ability to listen, observe, and engage respectfully in diverse settings. Multilingual ability is desirable. Must have a valid drivers license and clear out MVR check.

Compensation & Benefits
Pay rate is $850 - $1,038 USD/ month, based on position, skills and experience
Room & board
Monthly R&R breaks with allowance
